We’re absolutely thrilled to share that Medi PR has won two national honours at this year’s CIPR Cymru Awards 2025, which celebrate the very best in communications and public relations across Wales.
Founded just two years ago at Director Nia Medi's kitchen table in Barry Island, and now based at Goodsheds, our small bilingual (Welsh/English) agency took home:
🏆 Gold - Arts & Culture Campaign for our work with acclaimed musician Lleuwen Steffan on Tafod Arian
🥈 Silver — Low Budget Campaign for the Jess Fishlock Mural project during UEFA Women’s EURO 2025
We were up against some of Wales’s biggest institutions — including national brands such as the WRU and NHS Wales — supported by large in-house communications teams. So to be recognised as a small, female-led agency with powerful collaborators means the world.
Why these wins matter
Tafod Arian reminded audiences of Wales’s artistic and cultural heartbeat — filling chapels across the country with rediscovered songs and stories of belonging. The Jess Fishlock mural, meanwhile, celebrated representation and visibility in sport, honouring Wales’s most capped footballer and the communities who helped bring her story to life.
Both campaigns were about people — connection, identity, and the power of storytelling to move audiences far beyond their starting point.
Founder & Director, Nia Medi said:
“It’s an incredible feeling to see our work recognised alongside some of the biggest names in Wales. These campaigns were built on collaboration, kindness, and care — the things that really make stories travel.” “You don’t have to live in a big city to do great work. Barry is one of the most creative and community-minded places I’ve ever known, and that energy inspires everything we do. Creativity is thriving here — powered by small teams with big ideas.”
From Barry’s coast to Wales and the world — we’ll keep doing what we do best: telling stories that matter, in both languages, with heart.
Diolch o galon to everyone who has supported us — our incredible clients, partners, and collaborators.
