These history-making women have fought so hard to get here, qualifying for the first time ever. Whatever happens on the pitch today, we couldn’t be prouder.

It’s staggering to think that, for nearly 50 years until the 1970s, women were effectively banned from playing football. Now, after decades of work to undo that injustice and to build something more equal, more inclusive, and more inspiring - our national team is finally standing tall on one of the sport’s biggest stages. And it matters.

Today is about more than just football. It’s about equality, visibility, and the power to change the game for everyone.

Sometimes stepping away from work is exactly what’s needed to reconnect with what inspires us.

On Wednesday, I went to see the planet’s very own rockstar mother earth, Alanis Morissette, live in Cardiff.

I bought Jagged Little Pill at 17 and it was the soundtrack for many years to come. The lyrics are even more meaningful today than they were then and reminder of just how important voices like hers are in empowering women and girls across the globe.

Bringing the story of the @jessfishlock mural to the world has been one of the proudest moments in our work. Rooted in the community and unveiled in the heart of Splott, this mural is more than a tribute. It’s a celebration of legacy, visibility and the communities behind the game.

Bringing the story of the @jessfishlock mural to the world has been one of the proudest moments in our work. Rooted in the community and unveiled in the heart of Splott, this mural is more than a tribute. It’s a celebration of legacy, visibility and the communities behind the game.
